The gentle sounds of morning awaken me, after stirring and remembering what day it is, my thoughts turn to my morning routine, and I eagerly anticipate the 15 minutes dedicated to my self-care. With my phone and Air Pods in hand, I open the Insight Timer app, choosing a guided meditation or soothing sounds to begin my day.

 

A Holistic Morning Routine to Nurture Your Mind, Body, and Soul

The meditation grounds me and allows reflection on whatever comes to mind. It's a calm and peaceful start to the day. Then, I reach for my trusty A5 journal, pouring my thoughts onto its pages. Sometimes it's experiences, concerns, or even inspiring ideas for my blog or coaching clients.

I've had an on-and-off relationship with journaling throughout my life. From childhood diaries to documenting my adventurous travels around the world in my twenties and the awe of pregnancy, journaling has captured my journey. However, it wasn't until three years ago that I committed to it wholeheartedly. Writing my fears, hopes, and dreams has been incredibly cathartic, freeing my mind from endless loops of thoughts.

My journal entry always ends with three things I'm grateful for. Practicing gratitude has profoundly transformed my outlook, shaping my attitude towards both the beautiful and challenging aspects of life.
